These are the best pics from my Yucatan/Mayan Mexico trip in February. Months ago I misplaced the cable that connects my camera to a computer. I visited Richmond Camera yesterday to replace it and the salesperson suggested a MultiMedia Card Reader/Writer -- a neat little USB port with a slot for my camera card. The photos loaded up much quicker than using a cable: "Up to 45 times faster" according to the literature inside the blister pack.

Loading photos onto the internet makes a lot of sense -- so many more people can enjoy them. I have looked for photos online on various occasions and found lots of choices. On this Mexico trip I didn't take photos of a certain part of the trip and wanted to include a scene in my album.

Most people who know me know that I am an author stalker. Who else do you know who traveled to the Edinburgh Book Festival in the hopes that Jo Rowling would show up? I love to listen to author interview podcasts online. My favorite place for children's authors is http://www.readingrockets.org/.
